Zlatan to Return in October!

The classy forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic has rapidly recovered from his knee injury! He will shortly start to practice with a ball. Just about 4 months after he received the injury, which forced him out until the end of the previous campaign, the ex-Swedish international is fit again. The 35-year-old forward was expected to resume full training in December and make his return on the pitch in January, but he has made a very optimistic plan – to get back on the pitch on 28th October in the home Premier League game against Tottenham Hotspur.

The expectations are that Jose Mourinho is going to offer Ibrahimovic a one-year contract. Moreover, the fans of the team really want him back in the squad. The Swedish forward will hardly be the first choice in Manchester United’s attack, as The Red Devils signed Romelu Lukaku this summer. The Belgian forward immediately fit in the team, having already scored 4 goals in 3 competitive games for Manchester United. However the 35-year-old striker will surely have enough playing time to prove again his qualities on the pitch. The competition for the starting XI is going to be harder than ever for Ibrahimovic, but I am sure that he is not scared of that!

Zlatan Ibrahimovic became the top goal-scorer of Manchester United last season, finding the net on 28 occasions in all competitions. He managed to score 17 Premier league goals in 28 appearances. Zlatan bagged 2 goals in the Capital One Cup final against Southampton, securing the trophy for The Red Devils. He also helped a lot in The Europa League tournament, scoring 5 goals.

All the Manchester United staff has been amazed by the fast recovery of the legendary forward. It was unthinkable that a player at his age can recover from such an injury that quick. Usually it takes about 8 months to a player to return on the pitch. However, Zlatan made it twice quick as possible!

“Probably Zlatan will stay with Manchester United. He still has no contract, but he is now closer to us. I am happy that he is recovering that fast and I will be glad if I have him in the squad again,” Jose Mourinho said in an interview about a month ago.
